Catching up with some of the people who've worked on Ahrens & Flaherty shows

Ann Harada

1) What A&F shows have you done?

Seussical ( Marshal of the Court)

2) My Favorite A&F show is----- because----

Once on this Island, because it never fails to make me cry. I just think it is a perfect show.

3)My Favorite A&F song is---- because----

"Back to Before" from Ragtime. The storytelling is just perfect and the melody is so soaring. It's a tremendously satisfying song to sing as well.

4) My favorite A&F memory is:

In rehearsals for the Seussical, Steve told me he had written that "Everyone rise" line specifically to hit the strongest part of my voice, and i thought, "oh my god, Steve Flaherty wrote something for me! " and then later, Lynn let me help her with her crossword puzzle and i thought, "Oh my god, Lynn Ahrens thinks I'm smart enough to do a crossword with her!"

5) What I've been up to lately:

Lately I've been rehearsing for a million benefits and readings of new shows. I'm also getting ready to play Ms. Darbus in High School Musical at the MUNY. I kind of can't wait because it will be so insanely ridiculous to play in front of 11,000 people a night! And i don't even have to sing.

If you've worked on an Ahrens & Flaherty show, and would be willing to participate in the alumni spotlight, please e-mail me
